BREAKING: 220 ANAMBRA INDIGENTS GET UNIVERSITY ADMISSION……

A total of two hundred and twenty indigent persons in Anambra State have secured admission into tertiary institutions across the country.

This development is the dividence of the youth empowerment scheme embarked upon by the former Senior Special Assistance to Gov. Willie Obiano on Youth Mobilization. Mr. Oddy Akubuike while in office in the last seven months.

Speaking at a “Special Success Party” of the 2018 UME Successful Candidates/Beneficiaries yesterday, Akubuike who is also the Chairman, Anambra Community Based Youth Organization noted that “these are indigent students who cleared their papers including Mathematics and English Language, who I purchased the 2018 University Matriculation Examination Forms for and also organized Free Extra Moral JAMB Classes and equipped them with a Computer Based Test (CBT) Training few weeks before today”.

He reiterated the essence of the exercise noting that it would go a long way in motivating youths in Anambra State to embrace good and quality education that would ultimately place them rightfully in the society.

Akubuike further explained that this is evidence of his stewardship as the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Mobilization between August 17, 2017 and March 17, 2018.

“I wish express my heartfelt appreciation to our working Governor Chief Willie Obiano for finding me capable of serving in his government and also for giving me the opportunity to put my wealth of experience to the socio-economic development of Anambra State”.

Akubuike further advised that other public spirited individuals and nongovernmental organizations should join hands with the State Government in ensuring youth empowerment which according to him would help in stamping out crime among the youths.

One of the beneficiaries who scored 245 in the UME, Miss Nwafor Judith in her response thanked the benefactor Akubuike and Gov. Willie Obiano for creating the opportunity for the students to gain quality education and promised that they will not let them down.
