In this present session of the State Assembly, Owelle took some steps to attract more Constituency Projects. Its the construction of a 4 Classrooms Block located at Umuogbuefi village of Ebenebe Community in Awka North LGA. This is to show you his great concern for the challenges being witnessed by his people.
Recall that Hon. Prince Boniface Okonkwo in 2016 implemented the 2nd edition of his Constituency Empowerment Programs, which saw to the reduction of poverty amongst his constituents. Another set of 125 indigent and physically challenged persons from within the 10 communities in Awka North benefited from the program. They received equipments raging from sawing machines, vulcanising machines, hair dressing equipments for women and barbing saloon equipments and light generators for men, grinding equipments, and a host of others. This was also complimented with a takeoff cash presentations. For records purposes, the Distinguished Senator presently representing the good people of Anambra Central, Senator Dr. Victor Umeh OFR (Ohamadike), as well as the Clark of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Chief Pius Udoh , where witnesses to the disbursement ceremony. The Security Adviser to Governor of Anambra State and other sons of Awka North are living testimonies to that historic event. You may as well see the event photos attached. I shall also display the names of all these empowerment beneficiaries as well as their communities for verification.
Hon. Boniface has also done well in the area of SPORTS as a means of uniting the his people. In 2017, Owelle sponsored football tournament in Awka North Constituency, for which i was the Chairman of the Planning Committee, as one that is experienced in soccer. Hon. Boniface released a total sum of #2.3million for that tournament which saw the winner, Mgbakwu Community going home with the trophy.
Now, in my next series, i shall give a rundown of names Hon. As i write and make this public, i understand Hon. Boniface Okonkwo will not be happy with me because of his policy of not making “noise” as his charity life style. Nwannem pls forgive me, but what more can i do to clear the air…?
I make bold to say that Hon. Prince Boniface Okonkwo has performed very well as a State Legislator, even as we are aware that he was and still a successful business man before his entry into the Anambra State House of Assembly.
