Breaking News: Committee on State Vigilante Services meets. – Discuss Security and the welfare of the AVG as Chairman of the Supervisory Committee receives Award….

The convergence of the members of the committee of State’s Vigilante Services, the progress and sustenance of the effectiveness of the Vigilante services in Anambra State, as well as the well-being of Vigilante groups across the 177 communities in Anambra State were reviewed and discussed.

Speaking at the meeting, Chief Rommy Ezeonwuka (OGILISI IGBO)–aide to the Executive Governor of Anambra State Chief Willie M. Obiano on security and Vigilante commended the efforts of the Local Vigilantes towards maintaining security, peace and orderliness across all the communities in Anambra State.

While charging the members of the committee to keep up with the giant strides, the Igbo Spiritual Leader stated that it is important for the state Govt to look into creating a welfare scheme that will address the challenges faced by the Vigilante Groups in the State, as that would be a source of motivation and encouragement whilst they continue discharging their duties with dedication.

Chairman Anambra State Vigilante Supervisory commitee — CP Ikechukwu Ayo Aduba (Rtd) who was delighted by the outcome of the meeting which took place in his office at the Vigilante complex in AWKA, promised that the Anambra State Vigilante Services (ASVS) will continue to work in a synergistic relationship with all other relevant security agencies, to ensure that sustainable security peace and security, which has been a top priority for the state Govt since the Obiano led administration, is completely achieved.

Presenting the award of Senior Ambassador of Sustainable Peace and Security to the Chairman, the menwde) Board of Editors of Freenews Magazine, described the retired Police Commissioner as one whose advisory skills has improved the security services of the AVG. The Board of editors expressed their confidence in the Chairman and members of the commitee to continue improving the Security Services, community relations, human relations, security behavior and the security impacts of Anambra state Vigilante Groups.
