Rwanda has signed a nuclear deal with Russia. This entails a nuclear power plant being built in Rwanda. Russia will also establish a Centre for Nuclear Science and Technology in Kigali.

” Nuclear power is clean energy: Nuclear energy originates from the splitting of uranium atoms – a process called fission. This generates heat to produce steam, which is used by a turbine generator to generate electricity”.
