Breaking: The Bishop of Anglican Church prayed for the Governor, Anambra state, and Nigeria, as Obiano urged him to be the father to all.

The Executive Governor Willie Obiano while speaking at the service to consecrate the new Bishops of the Anglican Church, urged them to always see themselves as fathers to all, despite ones denomination.

The consecration Service which held at the Cathedral Church of All Saints, Onitsha, had the Primate, Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Archbishop Nicholas Okoh as the Officiating Bishop.

The new consecrated Bishops, who were drawn from four different Dioceses in Nigeria are: Anyigor Awoke – Ngbo Diocese, Wisdom Budu Ihunwo – Delta North Diocese, Delta State, Solomon Olusola Akanbi – Offa Diocese, Kwara State and Prosper Afam Amah – Ogbaru Diocese, Anambra State.

The Governor further enjoined the guests to enjoy the peace and tranquility that reigns in Anambra.

In his vote of thanks to the congregants, the Primate of Anglican Church in Nigeria, Dr Okoh appreciated Governor Willie Obiano for his sterling performances in the state. In his words, “Anambra is the most active state in Nigeria”. The Primate further declared that in Anambra, there is no godfatherism because Obiano is father to all.

The Church later prayed for the Governor, Anambra state, and Nigeria.
