Leadership and Management are two different concepts but are used interchangeably. The distinction between the two can be understood through the analysis of the problem to be solved (Grint,2005) and the power to be exercised (Glasby and Dickson, 2014)). What really matters is effective organising. This suggests that you cannot think about leadership and management in isolation from the wider process of governance and organisation. With this challenge in mind, may I have the pleasure to introduce to you, our man of the moment, Hon Owelle Onyeka Mbaso.
Hon, Owelle Onyeka Mbaso, (APGA UK) is an effective leader. An effective leader is one who creates an inspiring vision of the future, motivates and inspires people to engage with that vision and manages delivery of the vision. His honest and political approach sets him apart from other candidates. His willingness to listen to people’s problems is commendable. I am confident that he will succeed and wish to seize this opportunity to spread the word about his abilities and competence in the following order: –
CREATIVITY AND INNOVATION
Owelle Mbaso will come up with unique ideas and turn those ideas and goals into reality, thereby emancipating the good people of Nnewi North, Nnewi South and Ekwusigo Federal Constituency.
When it comes to accountability, Owelle is a man to trust, he will facilitate town hall meetings, where he will render account of his stewardship to the people of Nnewi North, Nnewi South and Ekwusigo Federal Constituency.
Owelle, will empower the youths through various skill acquisition programs and provide them resources to that will enable them to live up to their goals and aspirations in life, from a self-determination point of view.
Owelle will remain empathetic and sensitive towards people’s concern. Empathy in this sense means taking a step back and viewing the imaginary world of an oppressed and marginalised group of people in the society and seek to engage with people as partners and various organisations to effect change that will impact positively in the lives of the people of Nnewi North, Nnewi South and Ekwusigo Federal Constituency, Owelle will work hard and provide his constituency with suitable solutions to their problem.
DECISION MAKING CAPABILITIES
Owelle has good decision-making skills and will make choices that are not only beneficial for him, but for everyone around him. He will be involved in decision making process will be quite thorough in its reasoning with high level of critical thinking and analysis which may prompt positive action
Owelle is an effective communicator who conveys information clearly in a manner that can be easily understood. Owelle believes that being an effective communicator involves reaching out to the audience and listening reflectively in order to get to solve there problems.
